RTO Mourns Train Operator Steve Falco, 36
Steve attended Mt. Sinai High School in Suffolk County and started his career with Transit six years ago. A few years ago he bought a house in Oakdale. His mother, Diane, said “he was a great guy. His co-workers absolutely loved him.”
Train Operator John Beato, who worked with him, said, “Steve was fondly liked by everyone who worked with him. He was a gentle soul who always put his best foot forward at work and was a family man who loved his daughters and his wife.” Train Operator Ray Delano, also a co-worker, said “Steve was a great man and a proud union member. The 7 will miss him dearly.
RTO Vice President Eric Loegel said of T/O Falco: “This is another devastating loss for us. Steve was beloved in RTO and especially by his 7 line family. He was taken from us way too soon. My heart goes out to his loved ones and friends, he had so many. I wish peace and comfort to them all. May Steve Rest In Peace.”
