Earlier that evening, he told rallying members and well-wishers outside the hotel: “We’ll fight them until they relent and give us a fair contract.”
 
Despite management’s insistence on imposing three zeroes, tentative progress has been made in some other areas. These include the needs of women members, beginning with adequate sanitary facilities, the opening of promotional opportunities for graduates of the Training and Upgrade Fund’s certificate program, and an array of department-specific issues.
 
Bargaining continues. We do not intend to walk away from the table until we have a fair contract in hand.
